The gated community of Diamond Ridge Estates is considered to be one of Dana Point’s best kept secrets. Residents here enjoy privacy, spectacular views, and luxury amenities.
Diamond Ridge Estates is comprised of homes that are normally over a million dollars, and it is comprised of two neighborhoods. Diamond Ridge Estates is a small community of just eight homes and is situated on Diamond Ridge Court, a local street. Diamond Ridge Estates 2 has 30 luxury homes and is right next door. Both neighborhoods were built up on the hill right below Waterford Pointe. This gives the area a view advantage of the ocean, valley, mountains, harbor, and city lights.
These large custom estates are close to the local beaches, as well as many shops and restaurants. The Dana Point Marina has many benefits for boat owners including, telephone & cable connections, on site security, water, and power. The marina is also protected with double breakwaters. There are over 1,400 slips that can accommodate vessels up to 85 feet in length. There are also many merchants, entertainment venues, and recreation opportunities in the harbor as well as at the Ocean Ranch shopping center.
Students in this area are served by the Capistrano Unified School District, which offers highly ranked facilities like Richard Henry Dana Elementary School and Marco Forster Middle School. Top notch Dana Hills High School, established in 1972, is one of the oldest high schools in the region. The Dolphins Cross Country Team has won several state titles. The City of Dana Point is a popular surfing destination, as it has one of the few Orange County coast harbors. It was named after Richard Henry Dana, Jr. who wrote Two Years Before the Mast, describing this area as the “only romantic spot on the coast.” The harbor now features a replica of the Pilgrim, Dana’s ship.
